Glen Boldt brings two decades of experience as an engineer and consultant on sustainable design and environmental mitigation projects. A LEED AP since 2004, he was among the first wave of USGBC accredited professionals. As a result he has served as the technical and certification manager for many LEED and CHPS certified projects including a wide range of public, institutional, commercial, and single and multi-family residential buildings and campuses.
Glen has served as a LEED for Homes Green Rater since the program’s pilot phase and was the first Green Rater in Southern California. He advised the Green Building Certification Institute on the development of the LEED for Homes Green Rater examination and was one of only twelve professionals selected by the USGBC to support the LEED for Homes program outside of the United States. Glen is also a Certified Green Building Professional with Build It Green.
Prior to joining ZC, Glen served as a consultant to the environmental non-profit Global Green USA, focusing on CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) reviews of Los Angeles Unified School District projects and a national assessment of state and local green building affordable housing requirements. He was a contributor to the Home Depot Foundation-funded publication “Greening Affordable Housing” and has served as a delegate to the United Nations Environment Program’s “Sustainable Building and Construction Initiative.” Before that, he designed and managed environmental restoration projects at federal facilities throughout the US and overseas.
Glen received an MS in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering and BA in Architectural Studies from Bucknell University.
