Denise Braun, LEED AP, Living Building Challenge Ambassador
Denise brings with her over fifteen years of experience in Brazil and the United States’ sustainability industries – having participated in over 100 LEED certified projects. She has worked on several LEED Platinum projects which were approved with few questions from GBCI LEED reviewers.
Denise has developed and analyzed technical waste management solutions for various enterprises: residential, commercial, stadiums, banks, offices, shopping centers, warehouses, hospitals and hotels. She is proficient at implementing strategies for construction documentation, sustainable purchasing, and best management practices involving tenant’s guidelines and building management tools and plans. Her dedication to corporate social responsibility, solid waste solutions (including waste audits, zero waste solutions and technologies) and smart design combine with her outgoing personality producing effective collaboration, research and creative solutions.
Denise has presented at numerous lectures, workshops, and conferences — including the annual Municipal Green Building Conference and Expo. She earned her diploma with distinction from UCLA-Extension in Global Sustainability and has been involved with social projects since 2001. Denise was part of the Living Building Challenge Los Angeles Collaborative steering committee for two years and she was responsible for the Zero Waste Forum in Los Angeles. She just completed the PMI Project Management training.
